Pre-K Runway

Big Sister Austen got a hold of the camera....and did a photo shoot..

Jane obliged my modeling for her...

I love how she begins to realize that she is the subject of this Toddler Runway Expose...

The popsicle was just a prop!

Not sure what she was doing with her hand here...clearly she is sure she is truly cool.

I look forward to more "shoots" from these two burgeoning artists!

New Life

Pure Joy...

Grandpa George took the girls to the Museum of Natural History today, to see the butterfly pavilion exhibit.

Nothing says "spring" like butterflies fluttering everywhere!

Miss Austen emerged as a butterfly whisperer....she spotted them, approached them...

and coaxed them to her hand.

And the butterflies liked her back! Live hair bows...it's the new thing.

Miss Jane wasn't quite as successful as her sister at coaxing the butterflies onto her hand, so this moment was a big one for her!

Beginning Again...

So it has been about 2 years since I have posted here, I thought I had better put some pictures of the kids that show them in their current age group!

Jane is now a whopping 3 years old! Saucy and telling everyone where to go, what to do and how to do it. I take no responsibility for these traits.

Then there is Miss Austen, 5, and full of drama and passion and drama....and volume. She looks pensive here, but don't be deceived, nothing this little lady does is quiet! All the joy and all the pain (serious, serious pain) is lived out loud for us all to hear. And we love every second (almost).

And here is Sir Jackson, now 6 years old, shown here with the newest addition to our family, cousin Avery! Jackson is our noble knight of a little man. Shares, gives, loves, helps everyone....well, everyone except Austen. But they are working on that!

Not to be forgotten is the "firstborn", Benjamin, now a whopping 8 and 1/2 (critical 1/2). He is the leader of our little pack of cubs in just about every way. In adventures, school, scrapes, you name it! This is him attempting to look cool.

So, in light of the fact that I have now been off of Facebook for a stunning 2 months, I can only believe that I will much more consistent with posting here! I know that the grandparents (especially the ones that live so far away) will be glad to see some pics again.

New York, New York...

Brooklyn Bridge
I am pretending to be tall...well pretending to appear tall...Nissa is helping with that endeavor by ducking just a smidge...such a good friend!!! This was by far the coldest day, but don't worry, the brisk walk across the bridge kept us toasty.

The Met
Definitely a highlight among a trip full of highlights. The Met was all that I had hoped. I wandered with my headset for almost 2 hours and could have easily camped out for a few dozen more!

Rockefeller Center
Definitely one of our more touristy moments, but what is a trip to the Big Apple without a few moments of cheese? If you look close you can see the skaters down on the famous rink!

It's Fall and for the George's that means Pumpkin Time!

So right about October 1st (maybe even a little before) we...and by that I mean "I", get pumpkin fever! So as soon as it is seasonally appropriate we head off to the patch. This year we got to go with Gracie, Shannon, and Aunt Laurie..There were goats, chickens, pigs you name it! Fun was had by all, except one really sad chicken.

Can you tell this little man has seen Peter Pan several hundred times?

Our annual pumpkin carving party celebrated its 5th anniversary this year. The boys have grown up with this tradition and we love it. Seen here is Jack and Silas...Jack wasn't around for the first party and Silas has been at all of them!

Jane got in on the Pumpkin Fun....

This little man worked hard on the "Scariest Pumpkin Ever"
